Delegate registration

Allied health professionals have the choice of either signing up for only the “Allied Health Day” 23 August, or signing up for the entire NOK2018 Congress (with access to the entire scientific programme). All of the following allied health professionals are eligible for registration: Ophthalmic nurses, optometrists, orthoptists, ophthalmic assistants and technicians from ophthalmic departments or private clinics.

Registration opens in February 2018.

Programme

The “Allied Health Day” offers a wide variety of speakers from the Nordic countries, and the opportunity to network with colleagues within the ophthalmology field.

We encourage you to admit a free paper for a 10-15 min presentation at our Free Paper Session and/or a poster for the Poster Exhibition. All subjects pertaining to ophthalmic care are eligible, including presentations of how you work at your ophthalmology clinic, results from clinical audit and research studies. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit all the companies in the exhibition area. There will also be a large poster exhibition with scientific posters presented by ophthalmologists, nurses and optometrists.

Abstract Submission – Terms & conditions

Abstracts may be submitted for the following presentation types:
•Free Paper
•Poster

Abstracts must be submitted in English and follow the format below:
•Abstract text: Max. 250 words
•Structure: Title, Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusion
•Results must be the work of authors listed

Preparing and formatting an abstract:
•Abstracts can only be submitted online using the standard abstract format
•No references, tables or graphics should be included in the abstract
•It is the responsibility of the author to ensure abstract text does not contain any typos or grammatical errors
•No changes can be made after the abstract deadline has passed

Submitting abstracts:
•Abstract submitters must provide a title, list names and affiliations of primary and secondary authors, and indicate the presenting author.
•Please note that the submitting author will be registered automatically as the first author.
•For the categorization of the abstract, please enter keyword(s) and choose a topic.

Only one abstract per author will be accepted for the Free Paper Programme, but you may submit both a poster and a free paper.

Each presentation is maximum 15 minutes, and the presenter must be a registered delegate for the congress. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the congress committee, and accepted or rejected. Authors of accepted free paper abstracts will receive full details on how to submit their presentation.

Submitted poster abstracts will also be reviewed by the congress committee, and accepted or rejected. The accepted posters will be presented in a poster exhibition area. Detailed information will be given to those with an accepted poster abstract. NOK 2018 is pleased to provide a convenient, high quality poster printing service to all poster authors. This service allows you to create a poster from a free PowerPoint templates or you can upload your complete poster as a PowerPoint or PDF file online. Posters are then printed and shipped directly to the meeting for a small shipping & onsite delivery fee. More information regarding this will be sent in the poster acceptance email.
